This is a commercial complex project in the downtown area of a Middle Eastern country, covering 50,000 square meters with shopping malls, offices and supporting apartments. It’s in a tropical desert climate, hitting over 50℃ in summer. Local rules for building fire safety, sound insulation and energy efficiency are super strict, plus the project has a tight schedule and tough construction conditions, and needs to be heat-insulating, fire-safe and durable for the long run.

II. Introduction to Rock Wool Products
We used our ISOKING™ Mineral (Rock) Wool Blankets as the core material here—they’re perfect for Middle Eastern buildings. The area has huge temperature swings and extreme heat, and these blankets have great thermal insulation, cutting down building energy use a lot. The Middle East has high fire safety standards, and the A1 non-combustible blankets boost building fire protection effectively. They also insulate sound well for a nicer indoor space, and stand up to the local dry, dusty weather with good weather and corrosion resistance, keeping the insulation system stable for years.
III. Project Implementation, Solutions and Problem Resolution
(I) Project Implementation Process
1. Conduct in-depth communication with the client to understand project requirements, and tailor a comprehensive rock wool insulation system solution based on the local climate, building codes and project milestones in the Middle East, clarifying product selection, installation techniques and construction schedule planning.
2. Formulate a phased supply plan according to the project construction progress to ensure that rock wool products and supporting auxiliary materials are delivered to the project site on time and in sufficient quantities. Monitor the entire logistics and transportation process to guarantee uninterrupted material supply.
3. Dispatch a professional technical team to provide on-site guidance and follow up the entire rock wool installation process. Complete all core procedures in a standardized manner to ensure construction quality complies with the solution requirements and local standards.
4. Conduct real-time inspections during the construction period to promptly address on-site technical issues. After project completion, provide technical support for final acceptance, issue a complete construction quality inspection report, and offer long-term maintenance guidance to ensure the stable operation of the insulation system.
(II) Core Solutions
Targeting the pain points of high temperature and heavy dust in the Middle East, the following corresponding solutions are formulated:
1. Adopt a layered staggered laying technique, strictly control the gap width to ≤5mm and perform sealing treatment to eliminate thermal bridges. Combine with a waterproof and breathable membrane to achieve both thermal insulation and moisture protection.
2. Fire Safety Solution: Utilize A1-class non-combustible rock wool blankets uniformly throughout the building, and increase the anchoring density at edges, corners and key areas to ensure the insulation system is highly consistent with the fire protection requirements of the building's main structure.
(III) On-site Problems and Solutions
1. Problem: Severe dust during local open-air construction leads to easy dust accumulation on the base surface before rock wool blanket laying, affecting the bonding and fixing effect.
Solution: Thoroughly remove dust from the base surface using high-pressure air blowers, immediately lay a waterproof and breathable membrane after cleaning to shorten the base surface exposure time, and set up temporary dust-proof enclosures in the construction area to reduce dust interference.
2. Problem: Under high summer temperatures, the curing speed of rock wool blanket auxiliary materials (such as sealant) is too fast, which may easily result in incomplete sealing.
Solution: Replace with high-temperature-adapted quick-drying special sealant, adjust the construction process, arrange special personnel to monitor the curing time of the sealant layer on site, conduct real-time inspections of sealed parts, and promptly fill any gaps with sealant if found.
