What is rs 800 Rock Wool Pipe?
It is Aluminium foil-faced rock wool pipe sections are widely used for thermal insulation, sound insulation and fire protection of building and industrial pipelines. Featuring a high-density rock wool core with grid-reinforced aluminium foil and self-adhesive lapped edges, they are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 14303 and suitable for heating, hot water, solar and other pipeline systems.

RS 800 Rock Wool Pipe Installation Steps
Installation Preparation
1. Pipe Surface Treatment
Ensure the pipe surface is clean, dry, free of oil, rust and loose debris; conduct rust removal and anti-rust coating for metal pipes if needed.
2. Material and Tool Preparation
Cut RS 800 rock wool pipe sections according to pipe length and joint positions, reserve appropriate gaps for thermal expansion; prepare stainless steel strapping, aluminum foil tape, protective jacket , cutting knife, tape measure and other tools.
3. Safety Protection
Workers wear dust masks, protective gloves and goggles to avoid direct contact with rock wool fibers.
Core Installation Steps
1. Pipe Sleeving
Slide the cut RS 800 rock wool pipe onto the target pipe in sections, align the joints tightly; stagger the longitudinal seams of adjacent pipe sections (no overlapping alignment) to prevent thermal bridges.
2. Fixation
Use stainless steel strapping to fix the rock wool pipe at intervals of 200–300mm, fasten the strapping tightly and flatten the metal buckle to avoid damaging the insulation layer; increase fixation density at pipe elbows, tees and joints (150–200mm interval).
3. Sealing and Joint Treatment
Seal all circumferential and longitudinal seams of the rock wool pipe with aluminum foil tape, press the tape tightly to ensure no air leakage or water seepage; fill the gaps at pipe fittings (elbows/tees) with RS 800 rock wool strips and seal with tape.
Protective Jacket Installation
1. For industrial pipes/outdoor pipes: Cover the insulated rock wool pipe with galvanized steel sheet or aluminum sheet protective jacket, overlap the jacket by 50–80mm and fix with self-tapping screws or rivets.
2. For indoor low-temperature pipes: Can use PVC protective casing for simple wrapping, ensure the casing is tight and smooth.
Inspection and Finishing
1. Check if the rock wool pipe is closely attached to the pipe, fixation is firm, and all seams are completely sealed without gaps.
2. Clean up on-site residual rock wool fibers and construction waste to keep the working area tidy.
3. Conduct air tightness and thermal insulation performance spot checks for key pipe sections to ensure installation meets engineering requirements.
